Looks nice. Filter 2 vol and drive positions seem to be upside down though.
Looking forward to hearing about MPE news...

it is that way to show that knob is for the drive section. You can even see a darker grey line come from the knob to the DRIVE selection

Oh ya I see what you mean. It's meant to be related to the drive type selection in the upper or lower part of the display. Ok makes sense, though not totally necessary.

Not sure if this was asked already but is there a manual yet? Also are the PC/Mac requirements going to be the same or higher for this new version?

The system requirements will remain the same except:
Mac will require MacOS 10.7 or higher and a 64 bit host.

How will be the memory usage of one instance of Icarus 2 ?

Since I bought Icarus 1.6 some days ago I detected that the more Instances I load it uses less memory, but it remains with about 100 MB per instance.
Will Icarus uses significantly more (maybe 150 MB) ?
I am asking because I want to use many instances but not want the system to run out of memory.

Ok thanks.  So for the PC it will still work with ME, XP and Vista?  I remember those 3 OSs as I was surprised Icarus would work with Windows ME as it so old.  :)

ME will be not supported. I got no computer to test it.

XP, Vista, 7, 8, 10 will be supported.

Thanks for the info.  :)

I was wondering if the after clicking the "Editor" button if the size of the Editor display could match the same size as the main display.  It is a little smaller when it opens.  Not a huge deal,  but just wanted to mention it.

Just checking: There were no newer features added to the Editor section, correct?

Is there a way to make it so when you click on the keyboard keys at the bottom, if when you click higher on the key with a mouse it would have less effect on velocity and more so as you click more towards the bottom of the keys?

Last but not least, would it be possible to add a QWERTY way to play an octave or two worth of notes from a PC/Mac keyboard?

1) No, because Icarus2 comes with 12 different sizes. It is the same size if you are using the default size with shown keyboard in normal or huge.

2) The wavtable-editor is the same function-wise. There were some minor fixes.

3) This is possible. But i am not sure if it is a good idea, since it makes it more difficult the play the keyboard with the mouse properly.

4) Only possible in the standalone. Most hosts do not forward all key presses to the plugin or suffer from compatibility problems if the plugins 'steals' to many keypresses.

Thanks for all the info as usual!  :)

#3 -  For the playing the keyboard with the mouse and having it velocity sensitive (depending on where it is on the key): It would be nice but not a deal-breaker for anyone I suspect.  I do know a few plugins that do work that way though, and Sylenth1 is one of them for instance.

#4 - I didn't think about the key presses, so you're right as with Cakewalk (formerly Sonar) it will do that with some plugins loaded and will open some other window you didn't mean to open (for instance, u-he plugins do that in Cakewalk).
