Modulating main Volume control
« on: June 15, 2017, 11:38:42 AM »
When I adjust the main volume control by hand it works as I would expect it to; it simply makes the output louder or quieter.  But when I modulate it in the matrix the change in volume is coming before it is fed into the FX so when using distortions or FX that react to the input volume any change in volume changes the sound.

Is there a way around this?

There are several volume controls:

- Oscillator volume (matrix target "Volume 1-3"): Controls the volume of the OSC before it goes to the filter

- Voice volume (matrix target "Volume"): Controls the volume of the voice

- Master volume: Controls the output volume of the synth. It affects all voices. Since the matrix if calculated per voice, this one can not be addressed from the matrix. It would result in crackles when a new voices would start playing. That's why you must use 'voice volume' instead if you do matrix routings.

Instead of the global distortions which are available as insert effects use the distortions from the filter section. They are calculated per voice and before the voice volume control.
