A free resynthesis tool for Gladiator2 is available. This tool is available for free for registered forum users.

What does it do:

It allows you to create custom vocoder sounds or to resynthesise instruments.
It loads a 16 bit mono wav file and creates a custom mf2 files (custom HCM synthesis oscillator) for Tone2 Gladiator2.

Please note this:

- This tool is intersting for professionals only. You should be skilled with computers or sound design.
- The utility is PC only
- We do not provide support for this utility
- The software is provided "AS IS" and to be used at your own risk.
- Results may vary, not all wave material is suitable for resynthesis
- The utlility works with 16 bit mono wave files (default header)
- The sounds must have a wavelength of 512 samples
- Some wave material will crash the utility, note that extra header information (wavelab) could be a cause for this

da verstehste mich falsch gerade Markus :-)

Ich hab mein file so benannt. 200Testvocoder.mf2 der taucht aber nur als newname im Gladiator auf

Great tool. One question though: Does one have to provide the mf2-table when sharing patches with custom mf2's? Thanks!

Hi Pieter,

Yes, when you give someone else a patch that uses a custom mf2 that user will need to have the same mf2 file inside of his Gladiator data folder (Gladiator2_data)

(Glad 2.3x32, FL studio on Vistax32)

I'm noticing the same as djkey. When you rename the mf2 file you have created with the tool, like it says in the notes (rename to vo xxx Gladiator), the filename that shows op in the gladiator waves selector is newname (instead of vo xxx Gladiator).

Also what would be a good naming convention so the waves show up in the right spot (ill experiment with it some more later). And is the 512 samples considered a minimum, if so what is the maximum?

Is there some sort of guide as to what the functions in the resynthesis tool do? I have no problem " just doing it" but i'm always interested in what it is i'm doing?

Thank you for your time.
