Separate AHDSR for each OSC

Hi,

Is it possible in Icarus 2 to apply different AHDSR to each oscillator? for example, OSC 1 a sound with a slow attack and a slow release let's say of 3 or more seconds, and OSC 2 a sound with a fast attack and immediate decay and release.

 I would also like to know if it is possible to create a preset, for example with OSC1 a bass sound from C-1 to B2 and OSC 2 with a pad or piano sound from C3 to C7.

Perhaps in the myriad of resynthesis options there could be a workaround to achieve what I ask for, but I still have no clue about that.  I am still very new to Icarus 2 synthesis.

Hello Carlos,

yes. This is possible.


In the Mod Matrix in Slot1:

Select 'Aux1 Env' as source
Select 'Osc1 Volume' as target
Set send level to +50
Set OSC1 Volume to a low value like 1

Now Aux1 Env controls the volume of OSC1


In the Mod Matrix in Slot2:

Select 'Aux2 Env' as source
Select 'Osc2 Volume' as target
Set send level to +50
Set OSC2 Volume to a low value like 1

Now Aux2 Env controls the volume of OSC2
   

Key splitting is also possible. There is an example patch in Templates called 'Key split'

Thanks for the excellent information and advice, using Aux Env as a source was very useful on the purpose. Troels pointed me as well to MSEG as an alternative for finer tuning control, so I use both methods in combination as needed. Nice!

The Split key template work great, thanks.  How or where can the split point be adjusted? or it is a hardwired function available only by the template?

the split-point in Icarus2 is the C in the middle of the keyboard.

Thanks. Maybe I was not clear at asking, sorry,  yes, I got the split point since the first time the template was loaded, exactly C4 in the keyboard as you indicated.

 My question is if that point is fixed or is there possible to change it to other division key, lets say C3, G4, D2 and so on.
 Anyway, although it is already quite useful as it come, it could be very cool if it could be changed to any point the user needs.
Thanks for implementing such array of extra features, Icarus 2 is a ship with all the comforts.
