Mac Catalina 64 bit Compatibility

Will Tone2 be updating Filterbank to be 64 bit?  In Catalina, there will be no more 32 bit support so we will not be able to use 32 lives with it.

The PC version of Filterbank is available as a 64 bit plugin.

Sadly apple did not provide a 64 bit version of the Carbon framework. That's why it is not possible to compile the Mac version of FilterBank to 64-bit. A port would require a complete rewrite of the plugin.

Please note: It does not only affect FilterBank. Apple did not only drop 32 bit support, they also introduced 'software notarisation'.
As a result a massive amount of existing Mac software has stopped or will soon stop working with Catalina.
If you depend on 32 bit support or existing software which has been released before 2019 I do not recommend to update to Catalina.
