Can the Icarus filters types and distortion types be added to FilterBank? FilterBank being a solely filter related effect should have more filters than the other products imo. Can these newer filters be added to it?

Hello Abject,

from the technical side it is possible, but it is very difficult. The FIlterbank-engine does not support re-sampling. Icarus runs at a fixed sample-rate wth 96 khz and re-samples the output. The Filterbank engine runs with the host's sample rate and does not do resampling. As a result the cutoff frequencies would be detuned and the resonance would get instable.

I agree that it would be nice to have more filter types available. I have added your request to the thread.

Best Regards,
Markus

Hi there,
I want FilterBank4 and BiFilter3 to go 64-bit.  :)
Will they?
Cheers,
Jurij

Hello Jurij,

both products are already available in 64bit for PC.
There are currently no plans for FilterBank4 or BiFilter3. But if we should do them they will also be 64bit on the Mac.

All the best,
Markus
