Custom Wavetables for Icarus? Download or Tools Build your own

BurntWings:
  Hi Guys,

I have happend to find this little Donationware Progi by surprise:
https://sites.google.com/site/glowshrimpsoftware/

It says about itself "This is a utility to generate wave tables for Xfer Records' SERUM using FM synthesis (or, more properly, "phase modulation" synthesis)."

I gave it a short test ride and it works for Icarus, too. Seems like a tiny little fun utillity to play with.

Has anybody else good tools to create or knows download sites to download custom wavetables?

Update: I have also found a little weird tool called "AudioTerm". It's weird in terms of user interface and lack of documentation but seem tremendously powerfull....But I guess it will require a tremendous amount of time to learn the features in depth, too. Probably this is what Icarus manual means when it comes to "simplicity of tooling" ;-)
I just give you a link to a video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yZOatL84fxc
and the url I have downloaded it from: https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/s/1y0d88ts8zy1um7/Audio-Term.zip without any warranty...
And here is Audioterm on facebook: https://www.facebook.com/Audioterm/

Icarus is able to load all serum wavetables.

A quick and easy wa to build your own wavetables is to drag & drop a couple of single cycle wave files to the osc waveform display.

Sure Markus, you're right.

Just wanted to add, that this tool provides a real n*2048 fm-style wavetable with not just one single cycle waveform but n cycles.
So no need to build a n-cycles wavetable with a lot of drag and drops...just one is enough after you've created it from the the tool.

Giving an example:

1. I have used this settings to the tool and pressed "Generate!"

2. Imported it into Icarus to get this wavetable view

3. You can try and import the generated wav yourself. Download of the generated wav is here:
http://peter-huber.info/musik/SerumWavetableStudioExport.wav

P.S.: I'm not the programmer of the tool nor in any way associated with it. It's just my enthusiasm for Icarus that I've posted it here...Could be a nice add on bundled with Icarus by the way ;-)

Cheers,
BurntWings

audioterm is pretty daunting at first, but it's very powerful once you get used to it.

It runs fine on a mac using Winebottler: http://winebottler.kronenberg.org/

FischerZ:
With Icarus No other tools are required to make wavetables. The software has everything on board.
