i hate to say this, and i really dont want to offend anyone, but that demo is really awful...its cheesy as hell and i dont think the sound choice for the most part is very good....

i think some original composition would have been much better  :)

Tastes are different. I personally liked the demo and i love Saurus.

I'd also say that at least 70% of the demo contain original compositions. Maybe you should have taken the time to listen to more than the first miunute.

For me the demo showed very well the analog capatibilties of Saurus. That's why i purchased Saurus and i also purchased the analog soundset.
I am *very* happy with the value-for money and the quality of sounds that it contains.

Thank you for doing so great sounds and so great synthesizers!

Thank you for your feedback.

We are aware that we can't do right for everyone. That's why we release several soundsets which cover different styles and tastes for our products.

i downloaded it and went thru it several times. After a few cheesy covers there seem to be just random riffs, like the inspiration had died and someone ran out of ideads....maybe it sdhould have been split into smaller files.

...and i didnt say i didnt like Saurus, cos i do, its a cool synth  ;)

Thank you David. We will discuss if parts of the demo song have to be replaced.
Additional submissions for demo songs are always welcome. If you got a nice song which is suitable for the analog demo and you want to share it with others feel free to send it to Bastiaan.

Have a nice weekend,
Markus

whilst most of the demo wasn't my taste ( I won't go as far as calling it cheesy etc, just wasn't my taste), what concerns me more though is although the demo has bass patches in it, I don't hear anything with a 'bottom' end I like.....

Some of the bass patches do have bottom end here, don't know if all of those were featured in the demo though :)

Agreed and also some Lead sounds (including a few of mine...) have a great low end.   :)

Maybe at some point i could publish my full demos (especially the single preset demos) here and/or at KVR.

Like i and others already mentioned you could improve the sound with the use of an EQ of course but this is nothing new and would help with any synth.

Before i forget: at the end of last year my headphone were broken and i got new ones (from audio-technica) which seem to have a much better low end than the old ones (from Sennheiser).

I too love the low end on my AT headphones, of course like everyone else I use EQ when I am mixing. However for me EQ is rarely used to fix a sound, but something to make that specific element work better in the mix. I have to like the solo sound to even use it, and then sculpt it with dynamics, eq and spatial elements to make it work in context.....if the raw sound by itself does nothing for me, I doubt if it would reach as far as into my production mix.

I did like what I heard in the last minute or so of the demo though....

hopefully over time there will be more user demos with this bank.....
either way good luck with the bank Markus, Bastiaan et al.

Thanks Richard :) Some of the demo writers will be posting their full demos online as well, when they do I'll see if I can also link to them from this thread.
