Hey Markus,

Uhh I love Icarus, it is my go to synth already  8)

But I have some ideas though for the use and workflow:

1. Midi assignment to the matrix, is that possible?
2. Multi Midi assignment for one knob/slider (Cutoff and Reso f.eks. on one slider at the same time)
3. A fullscreen GUI option....pleace :-X
4. When you drag a wave file to the Osc section, could we have the resyntesis options appear?
5. More filter options :P

Keep on the god work Markus 8)

I didn't know where to post this, so I'll try here: :)

I have a question about the morph mode/ morph knob: When the morph knob is set to 0 and I change the morph mode (in the tab above), the sound changes (sometimes drastically). Why is this so, I expected the sound to be always the same, since morph is set to the value of 0. What am I getting wrong here?

Thanks

Dumbo

Hello Stralner,

thanks for the nice words.  :)

1) to assign a midi CC in the matrix select a midi CC / modwheel / aftertouch / breath a source in matrix. Then route it to a target like cutoff / morph / ... .

2) Can be done with the method i described from above

3) Currently not possible because of technical limitations. Sorry. The only workaround i know would be that you use a lower screen resolution in Windows.

4) Drag&Drop is already supported here. However it does not create a new patch. Here the current wavetable of the osc is resynthesized or replaced.
However I extended the resnthesis button for the next update. It now can automatically create loops.

5) The architecture allows it to extend the filter section with more filter types and distortion types. One customer requested the M-Shape filter.

Hello Dumbo,

The morph mode is a way how a wavetable is played back. The morph knob is linked to it. However it is not a simple crossblend.  The morph knob is an additional parameter which varies the morph mode's playback method.
Several morph modes play back the wavetable in the original way when the morph knob is set to 0. For technical reasons this is not the case for all modes.
You can find a detailed decription of the morph modes in the handbook on page 42. You can open it by clicking on the help button.
