With the introduction of ElectraX does that mean further development of Gladiator will stop?
I certainly hope not! Still waiting for the promised x64 version.
aren't they completely different products only commonality being the developer?
rsp
Yup, that is correct zvenx ;) So shouldn't be issues I believe.
ElectraX does not replace Gladiator or can be compared with Gladiator.
Both products are virtual synthesizers from Tone2. However they are very different products and sound very different. We have taken big care that the feature-sets and concepts of both products do not overlap.
Gladiator is not dead! It's under heavy development.
For the coming Gladiator update we already finished this:
- We successfully created a 64-bit version (GladiatorX64.dll) of Gladiator
- We successfully created a standalone version of Gladiator
The update, the 64-bit version and the standalone version will be free for all Gladiator2 users. We planed the update for January.
Beside of that we provided a free resynthesis tool for Gladiator in autumn. You can find it in the 'goodies' section within our forum.
Best Regards,
Markus
This is good news :D
Good to hear that the 64bit version is already finished.
I'm waiting for this a long time now, as it was announced for summer this year I think ;)
During the last months we have tested GladiatorX64 on several 64 bit hosts. A large part of them was still in a proprietary stage and suffered from bugs and crashes. To avoid trouble we decided to wait till the 64 bit hosts work more relieable.
Beside of that we have noticed that Gladiator v2.2 works very well and is stable. By replacing working version with an update we risk to introduce problems which previously did not exist.
I like your ethics :)
