Title: Progression bank
Post by: zvenx on July 09, 2010, 04:41:36 PM
yes I am sure there will be an official post on the forum:

http://www.tone2.com/html/progression.html

for me great approach... no extra features, just presets.

anyway I have a question.. will these be permanently available for loading in Gladiator 2? or will I have to open Gladiator 2 and do add bank everytime I want to use these? or will they appear in a submenu as the other banks sold by tone2?
thanks

From the manual... this will over write the factory.glb, it might be an idea to rename it first. The new patches will appear under the 'Tutorial' bank.

Replacing the Factory bank
Be sure to make a backup of the original before overwriting the default factory bank
A more comfortable solution is to replace a part of the factory soundset. The progression
soundset is loaded automatically every time you start Gladiator. You will overwrite
Gladiator's default bank with a new factory bank, where the tutorial category is replaced
with the Progression patches.
Browse to the Progression folder, select & copy the Factory.glb file and paste it to the
following folders
On PC:  \Gladiator2\Gladiator2_data\
On Mac: /Library/Audio/Plug-ins/VST/Gladiator2_data/

Quotewill these be permanently available for loading in Gladiator 2?
Yes. This is possible.

Quotewhy must tone2 require all these gymnastics to load third party banks?
Permanently installing 'Progression' means copying and pasting a single file.
Progression is no third party bank. It's distributed by Tone2.
We're not responsible for technical difficulties or low quality content which is distributed by other websites without our permission. That's why we recommend to purchase software only from the tone2.com website.

Quotewill they appear in a submenu as the other banks sold by tone2?
If you install them permantently you can find them within the 'tutorial' submenu.

Quotefor me great approach... no extra features, just presets.
The soudset 'Progression' is presets only. It's cheaper than the expansions, but does not contain additional features.

Markus Feil
